EVN is currently developing another proprietary Drupal Module, the Mark Logic Search and Results Module for Drupal (“MLS&R4D”), that works directly with MarkLogic Server for release in May 2011. This module provides Search and Search Results capabilities that query the MarkLogic Server that is connected to the Drupal instance via EVN’s MLS4D and present the results directly in Drupal. The user may preview each of the documents within Drupal, and if desired create a node (with the appropriate content type) within Drupal linking the MLS hosted document to Drupal for display and usage. The following outlines the module’s capabilities:
MarkLogic enabled search, with features including:
- Basic search bar
- Ubiquitous, simple, single line search
- Can create advanced searches in this line if user understands nomenclature
- Faceted/Advanced Search Builder
- Per figure below that enables search of specific phrases based on XML facets within the content set

- Users construct an advanced search by adding and subtracting query lines
- Query lines are Boolean ANDed during query execution
- Specific phraseology drop down list provides for:
- All words
- Exact phrase
- Any words
- Without words
- Contains
- Result display control on the search/advanced search interface enables user selection of:
- Sort by setting (relevance, title, author, etc.)
- Number of results to display per page
MarkLogic and content tag enabled categorized browse
- Browse to enable users to rapidly parse through a large collection of content that has been categorized with tags.
- EVN has technology and capabilities to support multi-tag content enrichment.
- Users select down the tag tree, click at any time, see example image.

- The categorized browse executes a query against the Mark Logic Server for items that match the selected tag hierarchy and presents the results in the search results user interface described below.
Search Results: Immediately after a executing a search, advanced search or categorized browse, the system presents the user with a set of discovery results via one of two user interface models
- Image-intensive model is the default search results display for a basic search or categorized browse. See example below:

- Matrix/Columnar user interface is the default results view for an faceted/advanced search queries. It provides a column for each of the facets constructed into the advanced search plus the content snippet. See example image below:

- Standard text (non-image) look and feel columns with attributes, rows with results
- Ability to sort by different columns, including these default columns
- Snippet
- Brand
- Title
- Content Type
- Create Date
- Others – the module can be configured for additional facets as the publisher adds them to their content set.
- Both UI’s provide icons to switch back and forth between the two views.
